We warmly welcome you to LA CALANGA Bed & Breakfast.
Accommodation for guests is located within the original farmhouse built in the '50s by Donato Lo Fiego and Adelina Orlando. Initially conceived as a country residence, attendance at the place was marked by the agricultural calendar. At La Calanga, the sun radiates throughout the property from sunrise to sunset, an optimal condition to produce a good wine from Aglianico and vegetable crops.
In the ‘70s the family transformed the agricultural estate into a Restaurant "La Piccola Fattoria", which for many years has become known as the benchmark for discerning 'gastronauts'.

FACILITIES
Our winter guests have the opportunity to eat breakfast near the fireplace, while in summer breakfast is served on the veranda or in the garden. The restaurant, offers our guests the opportunity to experience the traditional tastes of the region. As well as eating in the restaurant, we are pleased to offer, on request, packed lunches for you to enjoy on your excursions.
At La Calanga you will find a well stocked library and information on the Basilicata region, in addition, we will be happy to advise you on the best places to visit and enjoy during your stay. For example, The Pollino National Park is a magical place to explore and you can book tours with official guides to help you discover the area. .

ACTIVITIES
Walking, cycling and, horse riding in the Pollino National Park are ideal pastimes connecting you with nature and you can breathe in the clean air of the Park.From La Calanga you can leave for excursions on foot or by bicycle. Within easy reach you will find the pristine sunny beaches of Maratea and the Ionian coast.
For those who like to just stay and relax, our garden has lots of quiet corners where you can read, talk or simply, siesta in peace. In the evening you can dine outdoors and in the right season you can breathe in the, intoxicating scent of cherry blossoms, lavender, rosemary or the beautiful night jasmine.

LOCATION
La Calanga B & B is located in the Municipality of Episcopia 530 metres above sea level, directly in the protected National Park of Pollino.
The small village unfolds around a central square dominated by the castle, and still retains many of the ancestral traditions especially those relating to Marian devotion - the feast of Maria SS del Piano is celebrated on the ,4th and 5th August each year and is not to be missed.
Our house is easily accessible from the Sinnica highway, the arterial road that connects us to both the A3 Salerno-Reggio and the SS106 to Jonica.
